Our beautiful love story began in January 2018 during my service year when I got a call from an unknown number. I unwillingly picked the call and heard my husband for the first time. His voice was so silvery, calm and pleasant. I asked how he got my number and he said it was through my sister. He had seen pictures of me through her and wanted to get to know me more. Apparently, He was searching for the right partner to spend the rest of his life with, and after we talked for a few months, he concluded that I was the perfect fit. We prayed about it, received convictions from God and were completely at peace with each other.
Fast forward to the night of the proposal; Even though I was expecting it, I didn’t know how he had planned to propose. I had always wanted a public proposal but hubby is a private person and so I was expecting a quiet proposal. After making several plans with my friends there in Benin where I was serving, Hubby finally proposed to me in a cinema. It was a pleasant surprise, it was so emotional and adorable seeing him make efforts to make me happy.
13th and 15th February 2020 will remain one of the happiest days of our lives. I never thought something so cliché could work out so perfectly. We complement each other so well and we can’t wait to spend forever together.
